Tuesday,  April 16, 2013 - Boston                                                                           DWAA

Psalm 30:5: " ...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. "

Yesterday, we witnessed an attack on the innocent spectators at the Boston Marathon. This was an evil act of cowardice and an attack on the International community at the event.  PBS' Mr. Rogers encouraged our children to "look for the helpers" in times of trouble to see what the true character of human beings is made of.

Watch the videos and concentrate on those men and women that ran towards the explosions and not away.  They felt the call to service to their fellow man, to come to his aid, to relieve the distressed and weary.  They didn't think of their own safety, they thought of someone else at an extreme moment and sought to make difference.

Yesterday, we saw a Senior DeMolay from South Coastal Chapter, Robert Wheeler, run towards his fellow man, shedding his shirt to sop the blood pouring from his leg.  His picture was splashed across CNN, ABC, NBC, etc.  Robert is a modest man with a quality of character that made a difference yesterday.  He is a role model for all DeMolay's.

"Let your light so shine before men ..."
